The simple pleasure of going to the florist and choosing fresh flowers always inspires me.

During this trip, I asked the florist to help me select tropical flowers. 

He had these gorgeous purple flowers called Protea (I think) and well and fresh smelling eucalyptus. I forget what those blue ones are called.

The colors and combinations spoke to me with the secret language of flowers and the smells of far off exotic places.

This is exactly what this painting was meant to represent.
